About
I’m an astrophysicist with a passion for machine learning, statistics and imaging.
As a member of the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration, I'm applying deep learning methods to develop a dynamic imaging algorithm for imaging supermassive black holes from interferometric observations.
I conducted my PhD studies at the Institute for Astrophysics of Andalucía (Spain), with a thesis focused on VLBI imaging methods for black holes and relativistic jets. Prior to that, I obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical and Computational Physics at the University of Trento and SISSA (Italy), with a thesis about CMB foreground simulations with neural networks.
Outside of academia I enjoy landscape photography, climbing, spending time in the mountains and playing the guitar.
